Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed an early talent in sports as she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She was able to see her speed-running potential at the at the time. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks following her first trial. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics at Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for taking 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She always finished within the top three places of all races.
