Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix demonstrated a talent for sports early, and discovered her athletic abilities during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first attempt she made, she was ranked 2nd in the 200m race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed an agreement with Adidas. After that, she went to the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top three in all of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
