Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish actress and model. Her debut film performance as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character from A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985), she went onto play the Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donnevan's role is in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) were other characters. Doody became a model after she was approached by a hopeful photographer. The career she pursued has developed into commercial modeling. Doody strove to avoid glamour and nude roles, which was a principle she applied in her acting. She was cast in a minor role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after her name was picked by the casting director. Doody appeared on John Willis Screen World Volume 2 as one of 12 promising new actors for 1986. 38. Only 18 years old as she played the film, Doody was - and remains the youngest Bond girl that has ever appeared. Another film from her early days had her in a minor role as IRA member Siobhan Donovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) that was a film starring Mickey Rourke. Doody played an unseen role in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias when she appeared in his film of a dream, the 1987 adaptation to The Secret Garden. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. In 1988, she appeared with Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody appeared alongside Sean Connery in the film in the role of Indy's father. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. Doody then relocated to Hollywood. The actress later became Flannery Charlie Sheen's agent and partner for Major League II. She was selected as an alternative to Cybill Shepherd, who was L'Oreal's first spokeswoman. Doody was part of the 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony to receive an award. She was in the film together with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Doody was as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. The Clinic, a medical drama on RTE. The Asphyx was her 2011 remake. Pam Jefferson, the character that she played in the comedy series E4's Beaver Falls during its first season that ran for two seasons. The following year, she starred as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018, she was honored by the Almeria tierra de cine award and she received an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
